Trust In America
"Trust in America" is somewhat different conceptually and artistically than most Whiskey Rose songs. Though Rob, Jason and Brandi all write songs, most of the songs on "Take It Back" have tended to consist of music written primarily by Rob and lyrics and melodies written primarily by Brandi. "Trust in America", however, serves as a powerful reminder that each of them is quite capable of delivering in any level of songwriting. Rob wrote virtually everything in this song. It's his music, his melody, his attitude seething from every rebelious line in the song. Jason added slightly to the music and Brandi rewrote only a couple lines of the lyric which he found somewhat lame. Interestingly, band and fans alike have fallen in love with "Trust in America"... with one exception. Rob is about the only person we know of that doesn't really like the song much. Oh well, we couldn't care less if he likes them, as long as he can keep writing them like this.
